Capt. Timarrived in St. Thomas in 2004 as Captain of the 62′ charter yacht Southern Comfort. In 2009, when Southern Comfort retired from charter, Tim skippered various charter yachts as a free-lance Captain. Captain Tim holds a 100 ton USCG License, is a Dive Master and is looking forward sharing his favorite slices of paradise with guests both above and below the Caribbean.
Chef/First Mate Jennifer Jackson
has been living in the Virgin Islands since 2007 and was the chef on S/Y Catatonic for two seasons and S/Y Irie for three seasons. Traveling and experiencing different cultures informed her palate and her menu reflects tastes from favorite cuisines around the world. Jen also finds creative ways to engage the guests in the magic of the Caribbean – surprising them with fun plate presentations, staging beach treasure hunts for kids or packing romantic picnic lunches for couples to enjoy at a secluded spot ashore.

We are proud, long-time members of CYBA (Charter Yacht Broker’s Association). Each CYBA member must meet rigid membership requirements, including experience in the field, proper use of charter documents, ethical business practices, attendance at charter yacht shows to see yachts and meet the crews, and a review by his or her peers, prior to acceptance. This is the body which oversees all Charter Yacht Broker Members and establishes guidelines to which Slip Aweigh Charters strictly adheres. This organization is dedicated to maintaining integrity, security and professionalism in our field to better serve you, our valued client.
