Catamaran Pegasus of London Crew-50 feet
Capt. Hannes and Chef/Mate Julia
Hannes is from South Africa and Julia is from Michigan.
These two are simply delightful and so talented. And we are so proud to feature this boat and crew.
Hannesis an RYA Yacht Master Ocean, 200 tons, Certified Captain with a commercial endorsement as well as a Certified PADI Dive Instructor with a lot of sea miles and dives behind him. Hannes has been a guide and Captain for over 4 years all over the Caribbean and has done more than 50 charters in the Virgin Islands and other areas like the Seychelles and the Mediterranean.
Julia’sbiography is quite stunning. She’s a brilliant chef. But there is more: Only a few of her professional approaches to global exploration include developing the Brazilian Tourism Office at the Brazilian Embassy in Washington, D.C., working on program development and conference organizing for the International Ecotourism Society, managing an eco-lodge, launching an international dialogue-focused program for World Learning, and running an education and service-learning focused NGO in Rio de Janeiro’s largest favela community.
Read this recent review which basically sums it up:We just returned home yesterday after one unforgettable week in the BVI aboard the Pegasus of London. In addition to me, our group included my wife, our 15 year-old son, and our 14 year-old daughter. I don’t know where to begin, but suffice it to say I doubt we’ll ever stay in a resort after this. Having led dozens of charters in the Caribbean, the itinerary Captain Hannes laid out for us was absolutely perfect. Every meal Julia prepared was amazingly delicious and she had planned well in advance so that our every whim was covered. We paddle boarded, kayaked, scuba dived, had yoga sessions (on the deck!) led by Julia, and visited different idyllic beaches each day. (There is a small fee for yoga lessons if instruction is needed.)
Kids welcome: No minimum age but must be swimmers
SCUBA on board.
