SAINT MAARTEN SAMPLE CHARTER ITINERARY

The Netherlands Antilles

Day 1 – Fly into St Maarten, Princess Juliana Airport on the Dutch side. The airport is not far from the starting point. After lunch, sail to Anguilla. Just off Anguilla is Prickly Pear Island, which has a fabulous reef for snorkeling. After your swim, we can head into Sandy Ground where we can clear customs. Johnno’s Bar is located there and they often have a band, so you can do a little barefoot dancing on the beach! Or if you prefer a quiet spot, we can take the quick run over to the National Park at Crocus Bay, where we will spend the night.

Day 2 – Crocus Bay, Anguilla is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see. Cliffs alongside the water provide rookeries for birds, and there are loads of small fish to check out while snorkeling. This is also a great spot for water skiing, and there is a small hidden beach or a larger one with a beach bar. Beach massages are there for guests who are really into relaxing! Have cocktails at the famous Roy’s Beach Bar or enjoy cocktails and the sunset on board before dinner.

Day 3 – We’ll depart early for St Barth’s. Tintamare Island makes a great lunch stop along the way with a sandy beach and clear water. If the water is really calm, there is a natural Jacuzzi in the rocks where you can sit in bubbling backlit water while sipping champagne! We’ll then sail to Colombier Bay on St Barth’s.

Day 4 – Colombier Bay on St Barth’s is another great place to play – you can ski and snorkel here. After lunch and a morning’s fun we can head into the port of Gustavia where the shopping is famous and the restaurants fabulous. (Should you wish to have dinner ashore one night, this is a recommended spot). Alternatively to shopping, we can sail to Bay Saline, another awesome beach. Nightlife lives in Gustavia!

Day 5 – Sail to St Kitts, lunch underway. Anchor at White House Bay for skiing and snorkeling. A scenic, quiet place that many love!

Day 6 – We often suggest a land tour of St. Kitts – it’s gorgeous with its sugar cane fields and old plantations. It is still authentic Caribbean style and is just recently starting to see some development. After our return and a quick swim, we’ll move onward to the nearby island of Nevis for the night.

Day 7 – We can suggest a morning tour, horseback riding, golfing at Four Seasons, walking the magnificent beach, or just some swimming before we depart. We’ll have lunch underway in the lee of St. Kitts as we head for Marigot on the French side of St Martin. A stroll through this lively town is recommended.

Day 8 – Depart St Martin. Depending on your schedule, you can squeeze in some nice beach time beforehand!

*Optional would be to fly into St. Kitts to start your charter and out of St Maarten. This gives you less time underway. It may be harder to book flights and they may cost a little more but it is an option you may wish to discuss.

This Sample Itinerary is complements of Catamaran Akka 4 Queen cabins for 8 guests.
