Day One: Mayreau
Up with the sun, early dip and light breakfast, then hoist the main and make course for the private paradise of Mayreau, untouched, uncrowded, no airport and no cars. From the absolutely perfect white beach at Saltwhistle Bay it’s a short walk to the hilltop and its view of the spectacular Tobago Cays….. where you’ll be in just a few days.
Day Two: Petit St. Vincent
Off to Mopion and Pinese for lunch, a delightful pair of deserted islets where snorkeling, sun worshipping and swimming are the order of the day. Then take a short hop to the exclusive Petit St. Vincent. Ashore, partake of a bountiful beach barbeque and join in on a West Indian Jump-up on these famous white sands. Of course, you can always dine on board.
Days Three and Four: Tobago Cays
The amazing Tobago Cays are now yours to explore! A short sail north of Petit St Vincent, the world’s third largest coral reef is a haven for marine life in all its astonishing variety. Windsurf past sandy cays, cool out under swaying palms, beach comb – spectacular in every sense. The Tobago Cays are truly one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Caribbean. This is the quintessential tropical escape and two days are just enough to enjoy it.
Day Five: Canouan
Set sail to Canouan, the “island of the turtles”. You will enjoy virtual seclusion on the islands pristine white beaches, but you will really want to explore this former whaling port. In what was an abandoned village, a magnificent English church still stands as a testimonial to latter day prosperity. A new 18 hole golf course and 5 star hotel compliment the island’s offerings.
Day Six: Bequia
Follow the call of the sea to Admiralty Bay Bequia, where age old traditions of boat building, sailing and fishing are still very much alive. Cosmopolitan compared to Canouan and Mayreau, Bequia regularly hosts international cruisers and round the world sailors. Local colour and culture, West Indian gingerbread architecture and excellent restaurants can all be found in Port Elizabeth Admiralty Bay.
Day Seven: Blue Lagoon
Enjoy a leisurely sail back to Blue Lagoon, and plan on exploring exotic St. Vincent featuring a rain forest and waterfalls, the Botanical Gardens, the National Museum with its Pre-Columbian treasures, and historic Kingstown. You will take home with you memories of a perfect sailing vacation in the beautiful Grenadines – and much more.
